The Client
Zurich Insurance Australia is a leading provider of life, general, and travel insurance solutions, offering a range of products designed to protect individuals, families, and businesses. As part of the global Zurich Insurance Group, the company combines local expertise with international reach to deliver tailored risk management services across Australia.
The Challenge
We had been working with Zurich for several months on their bi-weekly internal livestream events, including building out a livestream studio for these events.
While giving a tour of the new studio and its capabilities, the client mentioned an upcoming event for internal and external participants. Ongoing discussions about the event caused us to realise that the scope of the event was larger than what the single studio and their existing internal systems could facilitate, so we started planning!
Building together, whatever you need.
The Solution
Pre-Event Planning
We worked closely with Zurich to understand the brief and assisted in pre-production to design a show that met the desired outcomes as well as provided an engaging online experience. We also mapped out the production framework that would utilise their preferred streaming systems, and their existing infrastructure.
Production Set-Up
Our team utilised an entire floor of Zurich’s building and bumped in three studios set up in conference rooms, plus a studio for monitoring online contributors and a master control set up. Two studios had a single camera set up with teleprompters, presentation slides and countdown clocks. The third studio had a three-camera set up, two LED screens - one being for virtual contributors, and three different sets.
Technical Staff and Support
A seasoned team of production and technical staff were onset and online to ensure a seamless event. Each studio had at least one production member in allocated to ensure talent was in good and safe hands, to anticipate and solve with any technical needs and manage onsite transitions between speakers. Vision was switched and live graphics were fired from the master controls by a tech director, and audio (including microphones and IFBs) for the three studios and virtual contributors was mixed and managed from the master control panel by the sound engineer.
Livestream Event
The event was successfully executed to an engaged audience across Australia with multiple studios, several set changes and interactive onsite and online contributors without any glitches – quite a feat considering all the moving pieces!
Post-Production
After the event, all data from online participants was provided to the client, and because the live show was recorded no further post-production was required other than a simple handing over of the show record.
Building together, for your future.
The Result
Flawless execution across multiple studios
With three fully operational studios and a master control set-up, the event presented a dynamic and engaging format, blending live and virtual contributions.
